Week programme in Funchal; our sugestion:

1 day - Visit of several Museums + fish and fruit market + town

2 day - Cable car or bus up to Monte ( visit of the church + tropical garden + sledge basket cars) - walk or cable car to visit theBotanical Garden and finally back to Town either by walk or by Bus

3 day - Bus to Ribeiro Frio and walk to Balcôes and Portela ( 4 hours). Back to Funchal with another Bus

4 day- Bus to Machico (visit of the small town)- than to Caniçal and Ponta de São Lourenço (several hours walk) and back to Funchal.

5 day - Bus to Eira do Serrado ( visit of the view point and Curral das Freiras village) - back to Funchal

6 day - Full day Bus to Porto Moniz - 12H00 (natural swimming pools) - 16H00 bak to Funchal through the Coast

7 day - departure

Programmes also available for 2 weeks stay ( we normally reccommend 2 or 3 days with rental car to visit the highest points ( Pico do Arieiro and Pico Ruivo) and make the Levadas of Queimadas and Rabaçal.
